My main job is to write articles and tutorials about photography and image manipulation. Here I've collected some samples of various magazine and blog articles and the books I've written.
I love photography. It not only allows me to try out my creativity but also is a great opportunity to create the image content for my articles and tutorials. I also need to mention that I just love cameras and gear.
Stuff I like to use
There are some products that can really improve your images
Capture One is one of the best raw converters available. I love to use it when shooting tethered. It's also fantastic when it comes to skin tones.
The Perfect Photo Suite by onOne Software is an easy to use tool, delivering an all in one solution for browsing and enhancing images. I use the Suite on almost every image.
Phlearn is a great resource for all kinds of photoshop trainings. They are fun to watch and you can grab a lot of ideas here. Phlearn offers some extensive paid trainings but also has a lot of free videos.
Topaz Labs is one of the most creative companies when it comes to plug-ins for Photoshop. I especially love their Impression plug-in which allows to bring the style of great painters to your images.
If you need some amazing detail, want to get great b&w or stylize your images you might come across these Mac only set of tools. Their Intensify has set a mark when it comes to applying clarity.
I absolutely love flashes and light modifiers from Elinchrom. In most of my images you'll find at least a Deep Octa modifier, often used on location with a Ranger Quadra. Plus these guys deliver a great service.
